María Carmen Del Pozo López is the Director of Aranjuez Cultural Landscape Foundation. (2011 to nowadays), in charge of the representation, dissemination, and communication of Aranjuez Cultural Landscape included in UNESCO list since 2001. She is also the General Secretary of the Alliance of World Heritage Cultural Landscapes, including 7 Iberian WH sites (Alhambra de Granada, Las Médulas, El Palmeral de Elche, Ibiza, Sierra de Tramuntana en Mallorca, Paisaje Cultural de Sintra and Paisaje Cultural de Aranjuez). She is also member of the Board of Directors of the European Network of Historic Gardens (Cultural Route of the Council of Europe) and part of the Scientific Committee of this network.

In this context, she organizes events, forums, encounters, and conferences in the local, regional, national and international scopes, with regard to Cultural Landscapes and UNESCO sites, addressing different topics such as tourism, management, conservation, education, communication, and research…

She represents Aranjuez in different national and international networks of Heritage Managers such as the World Heritage Cities Organization WHCO (she holds the coordination of the Commission of Education, Culture and Youth in the Regional Secretariat of South Europe and Mediterranean Sea of WHCO), Meetings of Spanish and Iberian Heritage Managers, The European network of WH Associations, Destination Napoleon Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, European Network of Historic Gardens (Route of the Council of Europe, ,World Heritage Journeys project of UNESCO – Royal Sites…

She has also collaborated with several scientific researches of Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Regional Government of Madrid with regard to Heritage and Tourism; she has given several lectures in Master Degrees at Universidad Carlos III of Madrid;

In terms of Cultural and Heritage Management, she was in charge of the coordination of the Management Plan of UNESCO Aranjuez Cultural Landscape, leading the institutional agreement and the civil participation processes.

She has also been a lecturer in several national and international forums such as the League of Historical Cities in Austria, Bordeux Metropole, Cultural Heritage and the EU2020 Strategy in Lithuania, Cheriscape Association (Cultural Heritage in Landscape), Participation in the Training Academy UNESCO Milano –Torino 2019. Tourism Days in Aranjuez and Madrid Region and the representation of Cultural Landscapes in ITBerlín and FITUR Madrid., UNESCO Seat La Sorbonne Paris, etc…

In the Erasmus + context, (European Education Projects) she has participated in several projects addressed to elderlies and young people, both as coordinator and as a partner, and also has been a member of the Scientific committee in some of those projects.
