We are very excited to announce the positive results of the 2nd edition of the International Tourism Exchange World Heritage Sites, BISPM, organized by M&C Marketing Consulting in collaboration with the Veneto Region and the Association for the Heritage of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene.

The Exchange took place from May 29th to 31st in the suggestive location of CastelBrando, in the heart of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in the province of Treviso.

During the three days of the Stock Exchange we invited to the Veneto region 50 tourism operators from over 10 countries around the world: Australia, the United States, Canada, Israel, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Switzerland and the Netherlands, and some German journalists.

On Thursday 30 May, the b2b workshop was held to bring together tourism supply and demand, exclusively dedicated to World Heritage sites. Over sixty Veneto tour operators took part in the workshop, and during the works they had the opportunity to meet operators potentially interested in the proposals and packages of their territory.

The following day, the tour operators and guest journalists had the opportunity to see up close the beauty of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, then the Veneto territories that will host the 2026 Olympics, experiencing in advance the atmosphere of expectation of the great sporting event between Cortina, the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Eyewear Museum in Pieve di Cadore and the Cazzetta Museum in Selva di Cadore. The Stock Exchange on its first day was also an opportunity to present the tourism opportunities of the various territories already World Heritage, and also of those that aspire to enter the UNESCO WHL, thanks to a careful and precise presentation made by the various Site Managers of the Veneto UNESCO sites.

Also present at the inauguration were the Governor of Veneto Luca Zaia and the Councilor for Tourism of the Region, Federico Caner, who were keen to highlight the importance of the Exchange for the enhancement of the World Heritage sites of Veneto, which “with its 9 UNESCO sites – said Zaia – confirms itself as a key region for national tourism with almost 73 million visitors and 20 billion euros in annual turnover.”

“The Exchange – added Caner – is a unique opportunity to enhance the World Heritage Sites of Veneto by making our region a “widespread” travel destination, through an integrated and shared approach without ever neglecting the objectives of protection and custody.”
